An open letter in response to COVID-19

During this difficult and uncertain time, our thoughts are with the whole TAMGA community - our beloved customers, suppliers, partners and friends - and everyone else who has been affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

As expected, COVID-19 is having a big impact on our supply chain in Indonesia. Our fabric is created on the island of Java, the most heavily populated island in the world, and they are struggling to contain the pandemic. Some of our suppliers have gone out of business, others are working at limited capacity in adherence with local laws.

The majority of our operational partners have scaled back the total number of staff on the floor by working alternating shifts, keeping a safer working space for all. This has resulted in significant delays in weaving, printing and finishing our fabric. From the beginning of this pandemic, we have been committed to helping our suppliers navigate this pandemic by never canceling orders, and we have stuck to this. We will continue to release new products and collections as we navigate together through this challenging time.

Our online shop has remained operational during the pandemic and we are endlessly thankful for everyone’s continuous support. As the health of our team and customers is our top priority, we are taking additional precautions in shipping your orders. Every TAMGA order is handled by a single TAMGA team member in Aurora, Norway, and is fulfilled under sanitized and clean conditions.

Due to the increasing delays by postal services in Norway and abroad, shipping times may be longer than expected and we appreciate your patience. We are beyond grateful for our TAMGA community and your support for our small, sustainable and impactful business. The fashion industry has a long way to go in embracing ‘slow fashion’ but we are seeing the shift and are more committed than ever.

If you have any questions or concerns we would love to hear from you via email: [email protected].

Stay well and safe,

Yana, Eric and Anna
